Riding Instruction
We offer western riding instruction (lessons) from beginner, intermediate, and advanced – including a “My Child’s First Ride” which is an introduction to riding. Lessons are $60 per person, and approximately 45 minutes long including a safety assessment.
We are currently doing riding lessons at
- Peter F. Schabarum County Regional Park located at 17250 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748 on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30 and Saturdays from 9:00-10:30.
- Big Bear – on Wednesdays from 10:00am-1:00pm and 3:00pm-6:00pm, and Thursdays from 9:00am-11:00am

Pre-School Group Animal Experience
This will be a group setting offered for our little cowboys and cowgirls to get to experience our horses in a fun and safe way. Each week there will be a story time, followed by a craft and some time petting and grooming the animals.
Toddlers and Grown-ups Experience
Enjoy some time at our stables with the little one in your life. This class is offered for 1 child between 2-5 and an adult. Come learn how to groom the horses and interact safely with them. Each experience will end with a Hand-led walk on the animal for the child.
Hand-Led “Little Horse Experience”
We offer a 20 minute “meet and greet” with our two ponies, which consists of a 20 minutes hand-led ride, for those who might be on a time crunch! This ride is $30 for 20 minutes, ages 5 and up. Feel free to call if you or your child has had previous horse experience and is younger than 5 years of age!
Grooming Lesson
Join us for a 15-minute grooming lesson and learn how to properly groom a horse! This is for all ages and costs $20 per lesson.
Birthday Parties
We offer lovely interactive cowgirl/cowboy birthday parties for kids! Each party lasts approximately 1.5 hours, and is $60 per child. All of the children get to take turns riding horses in the arena, there will be grooming and time to interact with the animals. Add-ons such as carrot feeding, games, crafts and more can be added to each party for an additional fee.
NOTE: Please be sure to print out liability release forms for ALL of your guests. Click here to download them. Please arrive on time or 15 minutes early if you need to set anything up. Remember, parking inside of Schabarum is $7.
Scout Activities
We welcome scout troops to contact us for help earning badges. We can help with adventure, outdoors, animal husbandry, horse related badges, and more! Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
Horse Training/Desensitization
We offer private obstacle course training as well as trail training. We also offer obstacle and real life situations training for you and your horse, including:
- – Desensitizing the horse to bicycles, dogs, umbrellas, and common things you would incur on the trail.
- – Desensitizing horses to wooden bridges, fallen branches, and building confidence in you and your horse.
